When it comes to George and Fred Weasley, they’re some of our favorite characters as fans but what makes them so heartbreaking? Well, that’s kind of an easy one to talk about.

There are plenty of tragic characters in the Harry Potter series, many of which we all love because of their storylines, but two of the characters who really went through it where Fred and George Weasley. Not at first though. For a while, they were our comedic relief and the two characters who always did what they wanted.

Without his other half, it felt like something was constantly missing and there was something missing. Fred and George are individual characters with different thoughts and feelings but they were both so close together, so happy working with one another and spending time together that it was so upsetting seeing George suffer.

There was plenty of loss and struggles within the Harry Potter series but it still hit both Fred and George Weasley differently and it’s a sad story to look back on.
