Watch Emma Watson in the Perks of Being a Wallflower to keep yourself entertained
Playing Sam in the Perks of Being a Wallflower was just another foray of Emma Watson into iconic literary characters and it’s now going to be streaming on Netflix!
Emma Watson has continually brought literary characters to life and one of those characters was Sam in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. A movie that magically brings to life the Stephen Chbosky novel, Watson does an incredible job of showing the nature of Sam that intrigues Charlie (Logan Lerman) in the first place.
So why not watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower on Netflix while we’re all stuck in quarantine? A heartbreaking story about a young boy’s struggle with his past while also navigating high school, The Perks of Being a Wallflower has a beautiful soundtrack, is incredibly acted, and is an interesting movie to revisit time and time again.
One of my favorite parts of the movie is that we finally got to hear the song that Sam, Patrick, and Charlie couldn’t figure out on the radio. In the book, we’re never told what the song is but the movie gives us “Heroes” by David Bowie as the answer (Even though “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac was something that Chbosky has said before).
So honestly, why not? What are we all doing right now? Just staying inside, trying to be safe, so The Perks of Being a Wallflower is the perfect solution for those boredom blues. We’re all trapped, we’re all sitting around, so why not just have a bit of fun with Sam, Patrick, and Charlie? And at least we get to see Emma Watson in action!
