The importance of Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
An incredibly strong woman who becomes the Minister of Magic, Hermione Granger in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child might be the best Hermione we’ve seen yet.
Hermione Granger is a character that means a lot to people. Whether it is because she stood for strength and taught us all to be true to ourselves or because she was the only girl in the boys club for so long, we loved her but there is something special about Hermione in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
A woman who made a name for herself outside of what Harry Potter did, Hermione Granger became the Minister of Magic and knowing that makes reading her journey throughout the entire series that much more special. The thing is: Hermione often did things to help Harry and that was that. But with Cursed Child, she was doing stuff for herself and became a leader all on her own, without having it directly be the result of Harry James Potter.
Hermione Granger was always the strongest among them, working to make sure both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley remained safe and out of harm’s way. But in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, she got to be her own person separate from them both (even though she was still in their lives) and managed to be extremely successful outside of it all and even when Scorpius and Albus mess with the timeline, Hermione is still doing something she loves even if she isn’t married to Ron Weasley and that’s why she is so important.
