Sometimes, you just want to see Chris Evans play a hot dad trying to protect his son and that’s exactly what Defending Jacob is giving us. The new show for Apple TV+ shared the first trailer for this highly anticipated drama, which follows Andy Barber (Evans) defending his son Jacob (Jaeden Martell) when he is accused of murdering his classmate.
Heavy, dark, and filled with an incredible cast, the trailer does a wonderful job of bringing to life the seriousness of the Barbers and their story. But it also brings us, hot lawyer dad, Chris Evans with a beard so…
See the beard? Hear it call out to you? Hot Dad Chris Evans just wants to protect his son at all costs and, from the trailer, that means even planning on hiding the evidence to make sure that Jacob is safe.
But, like the trailer says, he can be a good man or a good dad and honestly, with that beard, I’m okay with either option. (The beard is a good look!!!! Chris Evans as a dad is what we need!!!)
To be quite honest, this is something we kind of need right now. It’s a beautiful distraction and something we can focus on watching that isn’t all about being stuck in our homes. Based on the novel by William Landay, the cast includes Downton Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery, Cherry Jones, J.K. Simmons, and more.
