Maggie has spent most of this season of Grey’s Anatomy single, but is she ready to mingle? Reuniting with someone from her past might change her answer.

When it comes to relationships, Grey’s Anatomy has had its problems. Many, many problems.

This season, in particular, has already featured more breakups, make-ups, and “almosts” than most. First, Maggie and Jackson called it quits, and it wasn’t long before he’d found someone new. As of right now, it seems that’s also a thing of the past.

Then Catherine and Richard’s issues finally boiled over, and the two are officially separating with no signs of a hopeful future.

Add in the whole Teddy/Owen/Tom love triangle and Link and Amelia taking almost half of a season to figure out they were really meant to be together after all, and you have yourself a rom-com roller coaster with some medical chaos sprinkled in.

Do we even have to mention Meredith and DeLuca’s fallout, followed closely by Dr. Hayes — aka McWidow? That accent alone is enough to bring the entire fandom onto the same front rooting for their romantic relationship to finally take flight.

This week, Grey’s Anatomy seems to be taking a quick hiatus from last week’s drama in favor of some Maggie development. It looks like she’s going to run into a familiar face — and might get a feel for what it will be like to fall in love again?

All this is set to happen during the conference Richard will present his research at, though based on what’s been going on with him lately, that’s just as likely to end in disaster.

I’m pretty sure last time we saw a bunch of doctors at a conference, it almost ended with Alex assaulting Jo’s former husband. So, we’ll just have to wait and see how well this one turns out.
