The Marauders and why we tend to talk about them the most out of the entire series
Ever realize that many of us talk about the Marauders more than anyone else in the Harry Potter series? There is probably a reason for that. No, there’s definitely a reason for that.
Some of us have a love for the Marauders that knows no bounds. They’re our favorite characters and we can’t really explain why. I’m one of those people. When it comes to Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, James Potter, and Peter Pettigrew, they’re the four characters I want to see most.
Why we don’t have a series about them is still a mystery to so many of us because they were easily the most fascinating characters in the entire series. Friends who were so loyal to each other until they were betrayed by one of their own, there is something so beautifully tragic about them that we love to learn about.
Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs were all there for each other throughout school and the minute they needed to bond together, Peter Pettigrew turned to Voldemort and turned his back on his friends without care.
Exploring that, getting to see that on screen, would be extremely interesting and the fact that we only briefly got it is mind-boggling. Maybe that will be the next journey we go on in the world of Harry Potter. Until we know for sure though whether or not we’ll get to see more of them, it’d be nice to just read something on the Marauders.
Maybe I’ll just take up reading Remus/Sirius fanfiction again but who knows, maybe in the time of the Coronavirus, something will finally work out.
