Doctor Who and Harry Potter: How iconic British pop culture includes us all
When you’re watching Doctor Who, you’re more than likely going to spot an actor from the Harry Potter series or a reference because that’s the beauty of connecting our pop culture loves.
It’s very fun when an actor from the Harry Potter series ends up on Doctor Who or vice versa. From David Tennant taking over as the Doctor to Arthur Weasley himself being Rory Williams’ father, it seems as if both of these iconic properties are often connected.
But why is that so exciting? Well, as fans, it just means that we get to live in a world where both our favorite things are one and the same. They’re connected and beautiful and it’s just fun to watch. Pretty much, that’s all it is.
There are plenty of jokes out there in the universe of the same British actors appearing in everything but then again, that’s why we love things like Harry Potter and Doctor Who because who isn’t in these at some point?
Personally, I would love to see Daniel Radcliffe in an episode of Doctor Who or see someone like Matt Smith in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series. It’s a beautifully connected world where fans can see their favorite actors in both Harry Potter and Doctor Who and thrive.
Maybe we’ll get to see more of the cross over and get to thrive in or favorites working together or maybe not but whatever the case may be, it’ll be lovely to continue to watch the growth of both these amazing series.
