When it comes to the Harry Potter series, we all have opinions and many of us want to debate whether or not the films are better than the books. So let’s unpack that.

The Harry Potter series means a lot to fans. That includes those who’ve only read the books and those who have only seen the movies. I’m happily someone who has done both but still, it brings up a debate about whether or not the series is better in book format or on screen.

To be honest, I do think the books are better than the Warner Brothers movies but that’s just because we got a deeper look into these characters and what their driving forces were than we did in the movies.

That being said, what if you don’t know the world of the books? What if you don’t know the magic of Hogwarts and the deep history it has? Sure the movies touch on it but not in the way the books do. The biggest upset is that Peeves is nowhere to be seen in the films.

But then, on the flip, the movies brought the magic to life. We got to experience Hogwarts and see Diagon Alley. We understood what seeing a Patronus was like and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is so magical because it brings that same beauty of the films to life.

So…at the end of the day, I don’t think it really matters which is better because they’re both part of the series we love.
