Last week’s episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine saw squad newcomer, Debbie, stealing illegal paraphernalia from the precinct. This week, we’ll see the aftermath of that decision.

The most recent episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine was mostly lighthearted, with the 99th Precinct holding The Jimmy Jab Games yet again. But the final moments took a darker turn, when squad newcomer Debbie Fogle took Charles’ advice about not caring what people thing a little too to heart — and walked out of work with cocaine and weapons stolen from lock-up.

This week’s episode will see our favorite group of detectives attempting to uncover the culprit — though, with the evidence suggesting that someone from the squad is responsible for the missing items, it’s likely the trust between the characters will be at an all-time low.

Debbie is the least-likely suspect to be accused of stealing the drugs and weapons, so the question of how the squad will solve this mystery should be an interesting one to answer. If anyone can put the pieces together, it’s Jake Peralta or Raymond Holt. But then, will the detectives be too busy pointing the finger at one another to notice the seemingly quiet, good girl in their mix?

They’ll need to wise up if they have any hope of fixing this problem before it escalates. If no one solves this mystery, it could have serious consequences for the 99th Precinct. And without Holt in the Captain seat, there’s no one who can protect the squad from those repurcussions.
