Callum Turner in Emma is an absolute delight to watch!
Callum Turner may be in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series but he’s also starring in the new Emma and he’s absolutely incredible!
Emma is a fun journey into the world of Jane Austen that doesn’t include the Bennet sisters or Mr. Darcy but what it does do is give us Callum Turner playing the ever-charming Frank Churchill! Our very own Theseus Scamander brings Emma’s source of attraction to life in a way that makes him both insufferable and appealing, which is exactly what you want out of a Churchill.
Within Emma, Frank Churchill is set to inherit an immense piece of property and wealth but is seemingly bored with his life and that leads into Emma realizing he won’t ever care about the things she does and her attraction shifts to Mr. Knightley.
While a classic story that man of us have read (or seen in the form of Emma or the classic film Clueless), there is something about this new interpretation that stays with you long after you’ve left the theaters and seeing Callum Turner take on Churchill with an ease is so different from his take on Theseus Scamander.
It’s nice to see actors from the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series out in the wild because many of us are used to seeing them, now, in the Harry Potter world and supporting their career outside of that is important and fun for us as fans.
