The amount of food that had to go to waste at Hogwarts is interesting

There was always too much food in the Great Hall whenever the students of Hogwarts went to eat but how much of that was just wasted because it wasn’t eaten by the students?

Hogwarts is the kind of school that always provides for its students. Whether it is protection or a nice warm bed, the students are provided for. Which means there is a lot of food given to the kids at Hogwarts that has to go to waste, right?

I’ve always thought about Hogwarts and the Great Hall and wondered what happened to whatever was left over. Do you think that someone else gets it or is it magically erased as if it never existed?

Which then, unfortunately, leads into the idea of the wizarding world and real world situations because if the food is magically there and gone, couldn’t wizards solve the world hunger problem? The series does an okay job of combining how our world blends with the wizarding world because the idea is that wizards and witches were not always welcome.

But still, the idea that wizards and witches could potentially solve the problems of the world if they have that much food for children at a seemingly free institution. I think, at the end of the day, it brings up more questions about the series as a whole and how it would fit into our world as we know it.

Maybe it’s meant to be completely separate from the world that we know but thinking about Hogwarts and all that food really is saying something about the series.
