Best kiss in the Harry Potter series? Goes to Harry and Hermione with the Horcrux
Sure, there are kisses throughout the Harry Potter series but the best is when Ron had to watch a Horcrux version of Harry and Hermione make out in front of him.
Here’s the thing about the Harry Potter series: We all have our favorites. Maybe the first time many of us experienced “ship wars”, the Harry Potter series was the source of many a battle while we were growing up.
For me, Harry and Hermione were always who I hoped for. And all I got was the best kiss in the franchise. Yes, I said it. It wasn’t even really between them but I can hope and dream and live on in my fanfic but for the purpose of this piece, I get to talk about the kiss that launched Ron Weasley destroying a Horcrux.
When a Horcrux is opened and Ron is confronted with the image of his crush and best friend kissing, he is driven to destroy it. The thing is: I really liked that kiss. And maybe it’s because I am but a humble servant to the idea of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger getting together but still, I thought it was better than Hermione and Ron’s in the middle of a battle! Bad timing, guys!
Still, this conversation does bring up our love of the series and, specifically, the characters we wanted to end up together. Whether we got our way or not, the series did give us quite a bit of kissing to go off of and so even if our faves didn’t get together, maybe they smooched! Or at least we make them smooch in our fanfic.
