Stormsong by C.L. Polk

Stormsong wraps up our list as the fantasy entry for your book date needs. It is the second book in C.L. Polk’s The Kingston Cycle series and her sophomore venture after the success of her debut, Witchmark.

In this sequel, Dame Grace Hensley must deal with the consequences of helping her brother Miles. They undid an atrocity but their nation isn’t out of the clear yet. It’s winter and the power has gone out, and there are a series of winter storms ready to blow through Aeland and wreak havoc. Not to mention the last thing Grace needs is photojournalist Avia Jessup uncovering any secrets that will put the nation in an even more precarious position that it already is.

But instead of being put off by Avia’s quest for the truth, Grace’s heart grows closer to hers and that is more than an inconvenience, it’s dangerous. Grace is already dealing with a hostile queen and mages trying to thwart her plans to keep her parents safe. The fate of the nation is at stake as is her life but love doesn’t care about the impossible circumstances she’s in and neither does a nation that’s on the precipice of revolution.

Stormsong is a Tor romance. It is available in print and e-format.
