We’re headed to a sex club this week on The Bold Type, and on any other show, that might seem weird. But this isn’t any other show.

Really, is there any better way to spend Galentine’s Day than with Kat, Jane, and Sutton?

Of course, this week’s episode of The Bold Type might be a bit different than your typical girls’ night —  unless your typical girls’ night involves going to a sex club. Or, as they describe it, “putting the V, back in V-Day.”

Why exactly are our girls going here? Well, it appears to be two-fold reasoning. The first, and official reason, according to Freeform, is that “Jane volunteers to write a story about a sex club in hopes of proving she is ready for the next step in her career.”

Kat and Sutton did mention last week that Jane will likely need to crank out another big, impactful piece if she wants her own vertical on Scarlet’s new digital platform. The angle she’ll take on this is anyone’s guess, though.

Odds are they’ll really enjoy helping Jane with this particular project.

Then there’s the second, unofficial reason: giving Jane the opportunity to “get even” with Ryan.

After talking through what happened that led him to kiss another woman, Jane seems to be okay, but now Ryan does not. It seems a bit out of character for Jane to take his encouragement to kiss another guy, so it could be just a fantasy.

It could also just be an emboldened Jane, and it’ll definitely be fun to find out.

As far as what’s happening with Kat and Sutton this week, that’s a mystery. Freeform does hint that Kat might start dating again — the question is just a matter of who.
