Baby Yoda vs. Dobby: Who is the big-earred favorite for you?
We love a big-earred creatures and Dobby and Baby Yoda are two of the most iconic. But in a fight over our favorite ears, who would win the battle between them?
Baby Yoda is everyone’s son right now but I’d argue that beforehand, that big-earred title went to Dobby the House Elf. A character who we sobbed over, Dobby was there for Harry Potter and tried his best to protect him even if he wasn’t that good at it.
But now, he is being usurped by Baby Yoda. The child of The Mandalorian, the sweet baby with the big ears now has taken over our love on Twitter and I can’t help but feel like Dobby is being forgotten in the big earred club.
Look at it this way: Before Baby Yoda, it was really just Dobby. Sure, regular Yoda had bigger ears but they weren’t to the point that Dobby or Baby Yoda’s are. They were just a little larger than what would be deemed humanoid. So now that Baby Yoda swooped in with his big eyes and broth, Dobby is left in the graveyard without anyone defending his ear honor.
To that I say: Sorry Dobby. I just love Baby Yoda so much. He’s my sweet son with a beautiful knack for getting himself into situations he shouldn’t be in (much like Dobby, I might add) but alas, Dobby is not a character we’ll see again because of his terrible fate so we have to move on and, at least, if we’re going to move on, we can do it by loving a little baby who needs all our love and attention.
