This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy will test Owen and Teddy’s relationship and force Link and Amelia to face a hard truth.

Last week’s Grey’s Anatomy midseason premiere featured far fewer deaths and plenty more surprises than expected. Helm, Schmitt, and Parker all survived the accident at the bar. Bailey finally had that breakdown that’s basically been overdue since 2018, and Maggie discovered her biggest problems are far from over.

Perhaps what surprised absolutely no one was Owen’s proposal to Teddy. Even Jackson Avery is done pretending Owen won’t propose to every doctor in that hospital if he gets the chance.

He claims to be a changed man, and some fans desperately want to believe him. But it looks like his relationship with the mother of his child is about to face yet another test of strength. Will it survive?

That really depends on the other element of this ongoing love triangle. Because, let’s not forget: Now that Amelia and Link are as happy as can be, the “who is actually the father of my baby” question has hereby announced its arrival. Amelia is further along in her pregnancy than she thought… which means Link might not actually be the father. It might be Owen instead.

This week, at the very least, Amelia is going to bring up to Link the possibility that she’s not actually pregnant with his child. Where will that lead? Anything goes at this point. For all we know, Amelia could end up with Owen, Link could end up with Jo (what’s happening with Alex? Who knows!), and Teddy could end up with Tom.

Tom is not a perfect man by any means, but honestly? He doesn’t deserve to watch Teddy walk away from him like that. He was ready to take care of her. Poor guy.

Justice for Tom. He needs happiness. He deserves it. This season should end with him finally getting the good fortune he deserves, even if it means everyone else has to be miserable as a result.
