Politics in Harry Potter are interesting because it’s more about how the wizarding world (and particularly Harry) doesn’t like who is in charge but how did they get in charge in the first place?

Harry Potter is a series that has been connected to the American political climate in a lot of ways but when you look at the series as a whole, it is interesting to take a look into the politics of the wizarding world and try to unpack them. Mainly because it’s really hard to figure out who even voted for these people.

Fudge is someone who is a torn in Harry’s side in a lot of ways but how did he even get into power? Later, Hermione Granger is in charge and I have the same questions. Did she get voted in or is it just like a CEO position where someone leaves or dies and someone else takes over with a few people getting a say in it?

None of this seemed important in the books and the movies and yet these officials were important to the overall story so it would be nice to figure out how they ended up being there in the first place.

Maybe that’s the next step in this series. A franchise based around the political system of the wizarding world and how it grows and adapts with the times because right now, none of it makes that much sense and it is confusing when you’re trying to talk about these characters and their motives since we don’t know what political game they are playing.
