This week’s episode of Charmed brings the simmering relationship between Harry and Macy to a boil as they confront their feelings head on.

Last week on Charmed, Ray Vera, Maggie, and Mel’s father returned from the seemingly dead with a briefcase full of enchanted objects and the revelation that he may have inadvertently awakened the darklighter.

This week’s episode begins with Maggie, Mel, and Macy celebrating Jordan’s birthday, only they’re not doing much celebrating. As you may or may not remember, the men in Jordan’s family are cursed with dying at age 25, so the Charmed Ones are set on breaking it.

Right as Jordan is about to blow the candles out on his cake, Maggie gets a vision of a beam in the building falling on Jordan and moves him out of the way just in time.

Riding the high from her espionage date last week, Macy gets a text from Julian inviting her to Aspen when Abigael shows up all sick and weak and falls into Harry’s arms. Harry heals Abigael from an apparent poison, but as she’s still weak, he insists on escorting her back home. However, Macy won’t let Harry go alone, even though he says he can handle it himself.

And Ray is working on setting up a meeting with some of his buyers to help the Charmed Ones figure out who bought the talisman that may have awakened the darklighter. With that, each sister is on her own path this week.

At SafeSpace, Jordan and Maggie finally tell each other the truth. He reveals that he thinks his family is cursed and that something is up with her. He knows she’s “dead,” but he doesn’t judge her for it. He also tells her he followed her into the room where the Elder HQ door is and saw that she had disappeared. Maggie laughs it off when they both feel a chill.

Jordan goes upstairs to check the thermostat and Maggie follows him, seeing the ghost of the witch who cursed his family. Maggie quickly does a spell and traps the witch in a mirror. She tries to reason with the witch and explain that Jordan isn’t like his ancestors, but the witch doesn’t care. She slams her fist on the glass and it starts to break. There are only 30 minutes left until Jordan turns 26, and Maggie hopes if she can keep him alive for that long, it’ll break the curse.

The witch continues to pound on the glass as Maggie searches for a spell to bind her, but she busts out before she can and possesses Swan. All of Maggie’s training with Jordan comes to fruition as she beats the living daylight out of Ghost Swan and it’s pretty fun to see Charmed do an outright possession story.

She takes Jordan into the switch room, the secret entrance to Elder HQ, and tells him the curse is real. Just as she’s about to say they’re witches, the Bad Witch/Swan blows out the lights and crawls in through the vent space, and Maggie takes Jordan into Elder HQ, much to Mel’s dismay.

Ray and Mel score a meetup with the buyers of the talisman that may have awakened Sexy Harry in Reno and have lots of long-awaited, emotional father daughter talks along the way. Once the buyers arrive, Ray gives them a prism that Mel magicked into being a tracking device. As soon as the buyers walk away, it starts to go off, and they pull a gun on Ray.

He pulls a vial out of his pocket, something Mel told him didn’t work. But it’s black amber, the sap that has given the Charmed Ones their powers and then some. Mel reveals herself then and melts the gun and the buyers make their getaway with the black amber in tow.

Ray and Mel blow their mission, but Ray catches sight of a tattooed symbol on the buyers arms and a camera that may have caught a license plate. They port back to Elder HQ and talk a bit more, Ray telling Mel he always knew that he wasn’t Maggie’s father, which eventually led to his leaving.

Harry and Macy take Abigael home — which is apparently in Seattle. Abigael is doing everything in her power to win Harry over and playing damsel in distress. She and Harry have chemistry and she’s definitely attracted to him, but whether she cares for him like she says is another question.

Macy and Harry try to find the source of the poison while Abigael lays helplessly on the sofa. But Macy soon finds a syringe filled with poison, concluding that Abigael “faked her own assassination attempt.” This is peak demonic romantic entrapment, and honestly you’d think Abigael could do better.

Macy confronts Abigael who confesses that she wanted alone time with Harry, but Macy doesn’t buy it. Abigael goes for the gut punch and says she likes Harry for his goodness instead of wishing he was” just a bit darker.”

Like Macy, I’m not really buying this either. Nothing is ever as it appears to be on the surface with Abigael. I’m sure that winning Harry is part of some sort of grand master plan she has…

Macy then gets Harry alone and tells him that Abigael poisoned herself and that she saw them kiss. Harry shrugs it off, says it was just a moment. Staying loyal to Macy, he goes to talk to Abigael alone and tells her they will never be together. Abigael says she sees him as a whole person and there is yet another “moment” when Macy interrupts them by announcing they have to go help Maggie.

They orb back to SafeSpace just as Maggie and Mel leave Elder HQ with Jordan’s ring to do the uncrossing ritual. But Swan attacks Maggie before they can start and grabs her by the throat. Maggie convinces her to let her go by giving her back Jordan’s ring — the witch’s ring. They do the ritual, and the witch reverts to her non-creepy state.

She tells Maggie Jordan will have to “balance the scales of justice” to completely reverse the curse and then fades away. Now that Jordan knows everything, he asks if they can “fraterniz,” but Maggie says it’s complicated.

I’m pretty excited that it’s all out in the open. It makes Jordan a much more interesting and likable character for me if he serves a purpose and is in on things rather than just being a “nice” guy who Maggie wants to hang around.

Circling back to the beginning of the episode, Macy can’t help but be flattered by and like Julian. He’s a hot nerd! Harry catches her looking at his text and tells her he’s going to go back to check on Abigael.

Macy, of course, freaks out, so Harry asks her why she cares. This is the moment that Macy should just come out with it! But Macy still can’t admit she has feelings for Harry. Perhaps because of her latent feelings for Sexy Harry. But also because Macy, despite being very strong and confident in every other aspect of her life, has always been very careful with her feelings, which is honestly super relatable.

Thankfully, Harry finally admits that he has feelings for her, saying, “You know damn well how I feel about you.” Of course, it would be too easy if Macy acknowledged it and they actually kissed. Instead she says nothing, and basically sends him straight to Abigael. And so she goes to Julian.

Between Harry, Sexy Harry, Abigael, Julian, and Macy, we’re past the traditional love triangle and in a full blown love…polygon? (Especially if we include the Susans!) While Harry and Macy are obviously the OTP of this geometry problem, I certainly won’t complain about super attractive people with great chemistry making eyes at each other. Good on you, Charmed.
