When you stop and think about Peter Pettigrew, there is always going to be an absolute hatred for the character because of the pain he caused our favorite characters.

Peter Pettigrew is the kind of character that I don’t think anyone likes. If there is someone out there, I have some questions. Mainly because Peter Pettigrew turned on his friends, dragged the rest into a war, and watched them all die and for what? A false sense of importance? Was he not happy with friends who loved him?

There’s just a part of his character that infuriates me and we’re supposed to just recognize that this man turned on his friends without really knowing why? Or better yet, why did the rest of the Marauders like him to begin with? So James Potter, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin just looked at Peter Pettigrew and knew that he was a good guy? No one questioned him?

All of it brings up more questions and gives me more of a reason to want a Marauders series. Mainly because I love these characters and it is fascinating to think about how they, somehow, misunderstood who Pettigrew was so completely.

Or was he just swayed by Voldemort enough so that he’d give up his friends because he thought that is what would work out for him in the end? So much of this story is left up to us trying to figure out what is going with the friendship of the Marauders. James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were there for each other in school and then it all fell apart and it’d be fun to explore that.

Next. Harry Potter and the need for fans to find someone in the series to cling to. dark
