I have some logistical questions about how Hogwarts worked for students

Harry Potter gives a lot of fans ideas about what it would be like to live in Hogwarts but how exactly did that work out for students? Was it easy or hard to be there?

When it comes to the Harry Potter series one thing is extremely clear: We’d all love to live in Hogwarts. Or at least, we think we would. The more I think about it, the more I want to know what it would actually be like.

Sure, it’d be fun, for starters, because you’re learning magic but you’re also doing so using old writing utensils and having to worry about forgetting to blow out the flame lighting your way. The fact that there isn’t modern technology at Hogwarts is strange, especially since the modern world is so plugged in and I think it’d be even more obvious when someone isn’t aware of what is happening.

But more than that, what about the simple things like wanting to hang out with your friends? Do you have to send an owl to someone any time you want to hang out? What if your friend is in a different house than you, how do you get there to talk to them?

There is a logistical problem with Hogwarts that I never realized existed until I started to think about it. The more I questioned things, the more I realized that there is almost no one way this school would work. Or at least there are plenty of things we’re not being told that make life at Hogwarts a bit easier than we can imagine it would be otherwise.
