Official Harry Potter store coming to NYC in 2020

Warner Bros. is expanding the Wizarding World to its first official store in New York City in 2020. Get all the details and start planning your trip.
There are many Harry Potter stores and themed-companies around the world. Some are unofficial and have had to make changes due to licensing agreements. Others are 100% licensed, but they’re not owned and run by Warner Bros. That’s all about to change with the first Warner Bros. store dedicated to the Wizarding World coming this year.
Potterheads will want to plan a trip east. The first store will open in the summer in New York City. There’s not an official opening date just yet, but for those who head to NYCC, it should be there in time for the 2020 convention.

The NYC store is set to be the largest in the world, covering both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises. You’ll get Bertie Botts’ Every Flavor Beans, personalized robes, special house wands, interactive experiences, and so much more. The store is also set to have “numerous photo opportunities,” according to a recent press release, but it’s not clear what those mean. Will the stars of the movies head to the store or will they involve cosplayers and props?

The new Harry Potter store will be near Manhattan’s Flatiron building. It will take over three floors, making this something every single Harry Potter fan is going to want to check out. There also seems to be a cafe attached according to plans, which Insider has images of. Butterbeer, anyone?
While there are certainly stores in the Universal Parks and the London Studios, this is the first time Warner Bros. has brought its own store outside of those areas. Are you ready?
