Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin, your Hogwarts house can say a lot about you and how much you love your house is important too.

When it comes to the Harry Potter series, your Hogwarts house says a lot about you right off the bat. But how much does your love of it saw about you? For me, I’m proudly a Gryffindor and, unfortunately, it is something that I openly talk about all the time.

What it says about me, however, is that I’m proud to be brave, open, and loyal to a fault. I also probably very stupidly throw myself into situations and then need help getting out. As is the Gryffindor way. But throughout my studies in the art of the Harry Potter series, I have learned that the houses defend themselves for specific reasons.

For instance, Hufflepuffs defend themselves because most people mock them, Ravenclaws do it to prove they aren’t just book worms, and Slytherins want you to know that they’re not the villains. Everyone has their reasoning behind defending their house and I think that’s one of the reasons why the Harry Potter series and the Hogwarts houses, in particular, are so special.

They’re sort of an extension of us and our love of this series. Without our Hogwarts houses, how would we identify ourselves in the grand scheme of the Harry Potter series? It could be done but would it be fun? Not really. Our houses are part of us at fans and, to be honest, I’m extremely proud of being a Gryffindor and I’m not ashamed!
