As a new year dawns, it’s time to run down twenty of the upcoming new YA books we’re most looking forward to in 2020. (And trust us, it was super difficult just to pick twenty!)

As we count down to a new year, it’s all about looking ahead to the things to come, even as we reflect back on the time that’s passed. And while we all read a ton of great YA books in 2019, there are even more headed our way in 2020 – from fantasy to contemporary to everything in between.

From buzzy debuts like Adalyn Grace’s All the Stars and Teeth and Kester Grant’s The Court of Miracles, to highly anticipated sequels like Karen McManus’ One of Us is Next and Emily A. Duncan’s Ruthless Gods, there are a ton of exciting new titles coming to shelves in the first half of the year.

There are actually so many that this list could have been a lot longer – how great is a slate of upcoming titles that includes all the ones listed below, and new stuff from folks like Kiersten White, Cassie Claire and Roshani Chokshi!

Here are our picks for twenty of the biggest must-read YA releases of 2020, from debuts to sequels to new releases from favorite authors. Let us know if you’re looking forward to any of them – and we can’t wait to talk about all of them in the new year!
