Why do fans cling to the Marauders era of the Harry Potter series

James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter are some of our favorite characters despite us barely knowing them so why are the Marauders are a favorite part of the Harry Potter series?

For some reason, fans of the Harry Potter series love talking about the Marauders. There are countless roleplays around them, fanfictions written about them, and we want to know more and more about this era in the series.

The issue seems to be that we’re never going to learn more about the Marauders and their time at Hogwarts. So is that why we’re so obsessed with it? Because there is so much we don’t know and we’re just interested in what James Potter was like before he had Lily and Harry? There are so many layers to those characters and we never really get to see them in the series.

But even now, years after the books have finished and the movies are over, we’re still waiting for more and that’s what is maybe the most interesting part about it. We care about these characters and want to know everything there is to know about them and when we don’t know anything about them, it seems almost like we’re missing out.

So will we ever get to see that Marauders series we’ve been asking about for years? Right now, probably not. It seems as if it is nowhere on the radar but I’d love to explore Sirius Black as a character and how he changes throughout his time in Azkaban.

My Christmas wish is that we finally get the series we all hope for but I have a feeling that will be my Christmas wish for quite some time.
