12. A Charlie Brown Christmas

There are a lot of animated options when it comes to finding great Christmas programming. And if we are going to look for iconic characters with our holidays, then it feels like we have to turn to Charlie Brown and friends.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is based on the comic strip created by Charles Schulz, and originally ran as a television special in 1965. However, over the years, it has become as much of an iconic classic as a movie like A Christmas Carol.

From the characters that we all know and love to the iconic imagery, such as the poor little tree that basically falls over with more than one ornament on it, A Charlie Brown Christmas is a must watch, at least once every season. And the fact that one of our favorite pups (Snoopy) is part of the story makes it that much more fun to watch.

We love that we get to see all of Charlie Brown’s friends make an appearance in this movie. And the moment when everyone is reminded about the meaning of Christmas will always stand out as an iconic scene that transcends the fact that this is an animated movie.

Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang are good at giving us heartwarming moments and stories that include humor and joy. And that is exactly what we get with this particular animated movie, humor, joy, and heartwarming moments of emotion.
