Harry Potter stays with us all for years and that has been proven by our continued dedication to the series. So let’s explore why this series means so much to us even after all this time.
There is a reason we’re still talking about the Harry Potter series. After all this time, there is something so special about it and we keep coming back for more because of it all. So…what is that thing?
Maybe it is the connection to our youth and reading the series with friends and family as kids. Or maybe it is even simpler than that. Maybe we just like these characters so much that we want to keep talking about it even years after it has ended. Whatever it is, it shows the staying power of the series as a whole.
Think about it. How much fanfiction have we read about the Harry Potter series? How often do we buy merchandise or fanart from the series? Why would we do that if we didn’t have some deeper connection to it as a whole? Just this year I got a Sirius Black painting from a friend and hung it on my wall because he is still one of my all-time favorite characters.
There is just something so earnest and fun about the Harry Potter series and we keep coming back to it to love it even years after the series has wrapped and despite whether or not we like the continuation stories that have come about now. We will always be fans of the Potter universe and that’s something extremely special.
