It’s kind of messed up that Hogwarts basically threw kids into danger in Goblet of Fire

When it comes to being in danger, the students of Hogwarts know exactly what that feels like but when you stop and think about Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it’s really messed up.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire meant that the children of Hogwarts were forced into a battle towards the cup for the Triwizard Tournament. The problem is that they were thrown into quite a lot of danger to get there and, in some regards, could have died. In fact, they were even warned of that before they put their names in the cup (or, in Harry’s case, got his name entered for him).

So now, when we think about it, do we really think that the professors at Hogwarts (and the visiting schools) thought that this tournament was really going to be that dangerous? Or was it just a scare tactic and then resulted in the death of Cedric Diggory?

It is questionable because, when we look at the Harry Potter series as a whole, there were plenty of times when the students were thrown into battle or into trouble with seemingly no help. So who was really there to help them when they needed it most? Anyone? Who would actually send their kids off to Hogwarts without some kind of protection?

No matter what, the Triwizard Tournament resulted in the death of Cedric and the near death of other students and it is shocking it was let to happen at a school

Next. Let’s talk about the Room of Requirements and what we’d end up doing with it. dark
