J.K. Rowling will not solely write the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts 3 like she did for the two previous Fantastic Beasts movies. Is this a good or bad thing?

Let’s be honest, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald did go down well among fans. Some of you loved it and some of you hated. No matter which side of the fence you sit on though, we can probably all agree as Wizarding World fans that, when compared to all of the other movies from both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchise, it comes dead last if we were to rank them all.

Which means there is a lot of pressure on Fantastic Beasts 3 to do well. So, when the official announcement about who was to star in the next installment, along with other details, was made. One detail that stood out was how J.K. Rowling is not going to be penning the script by herself. Instead, she is being joined by Steve Kloves, and the two of them will pen the script together.

Kloves, was in fact the screenwriter for all but one of the Harry Potter movies. Meaning he is more than capable of being J.K. Rowling’s co-writer.

So, fear not fellow Wizarding World fans. Warner Bros. hasn’t made a disastrous decision. In fact, they may have potentially done the best thing possible. They have retained J.K. Rowling to create the wonderful stories that we grew up with and brought in the magic of Kloves who can bring the brilliance of Rowling to the big screen.
