Watchmen: What lies ahead for Angela and Wade after last week’s episode?

The last we saw of Watchmen’s Angela and Wade, he got her arrested for, seemingly, her own good — but what does that mean for their relationship as a whole?

Last week’s Watchmen didn’t end well for Wade or for Angela. When Wade discovers what is happening with the Seventh Kalvary, he knows that he has to protect Angela and her family. So, he gets her arrested so that she can’t look further into the investigation — because if she did, her family would be in danger.

To be fair, though, this all seems like a bit of a lost hope because, by the end of the episode, we see the Seventh Kalvary going into Wade’s house. Who knows what’s actually going to happen to Looking Glass after that?

But it does open up the door for the next era of this show. For starters, Angela doesn’t know any of this and neither does Laurie. The two were in the dark as Wade went to investigate his new friend and was introduced to the truth of the Seventh Kalvary. So, if Wade is, in fact, dead, that means that Angela is in jail without anyone on her side — and the Seventh Kalvary could continue to succeed because Laurie is behind when it comes to investigating them.

With every episode previously having been focused on introducing this world, we now know more about the warped nature of politics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is going to be interesting to see what’s to come for these characters and their arcs now that we know part of the mystery behind it all.

With Angela in jail, Ozymandias trying to get to Dr. Manhattan, and the fate of Looking Glass in the air, everything is promising to get interesting in future episodes of Watchmen, and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
