Sometimes it is easy to forget that, technically, David Tennant was in the Harry Potter series
David Tennant was in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and sometimes, it is easy to forget since he wasn’t in that much of the movie to even begin with.
Barty Crouch Jr. was in the Harry Potter series briefly and brought to life by David Tennant. The problem is that he wasn’t in the movie for very long and if we do remember him in the role, it is because we were fans of his work outside of just what he brought to the table in Harry Potter.
There is something funny about looking at actors who have become well known and see how they change from the smaller roles we initially recognize them from. To be fair to David Tennant though, he was the Doctor at the time but it hadn’t become the phenomenon in America that it was yet.
Still, Tennant isn’t the only actor who went from a smaller role in the Potter series to being a household name. Some of the secondary characters have become stars of some of our favorite shows and movies and it is wonderful to see.
Can we give Harry Potter the credit for their success? No but it probably does help that they were in the series that we loved to watch as kids so when we see them in something else, we’re more likely to recognize them. David Tennant is amazing though so we are very lucky, as fans of this series, to have had David Tennant involved at all, even with his role as Barty Crouch Jr. being so small.
