7. Owen and Teddy

Welcome to yet another one of Owen’s potentially problematic relationships. His on again, off again romance with Teddy has not always been perfect. That’s not surprising, especially using his other past relationships as a benchmark. But here’s something that makes this romance special: He actually learned from his mistakes and has genuinely tried to do better.

Of course, that couldn’t happen without breaking her heart … and winning her over … and breaking it again … you get the idea.

After going all the way to Germany to be with her, he left and apparently didn’t talk to her again after that. So when she showed up unexpectedly months later — happily trying to make a relationship with someone else actually work for once — he didn’t see the bombshell pregnancy announcement coming.

And this is when Owen Hunt finally, truly did the right thing to support a woman he loved. He decided to not only stand by and support her, but he also committed to raising their child with her and to Teddy herself. It’s possible he has finally learned how to genuinely try to be a good man.

We’ve only seen these two attempt to parent together off and on in the most recent season, but it’s possible they’re actually going to be able to make this work. They have a history together. They understand where the other has been and what they have been through.

But they also share a future together whether they like it or not. They have seemingly put behind the past and are ready to move forward arm in arm.
