The important of the Weasley family to the Harry Potter series
When we think of the Harry Potter series, we often think of his friends and it is important to recognize the significance of the Weasley family to Harry’s life and journey.
Ron Weasley met Harry Potter on the train to Hogwarts and thus their friendship was born. From there, the Weasleys became somewhat of a family to Harry that he never had before but they have a greater significance to the series as a whole.
When it comes to the Weasleys, they’re the wizarding family that people like the Malfoys love to hate. Mainly because they don’t pride themselves in their belongings or try and strive for money. They want their happiness and for their family to be safe and that’s it. Which is a great look for Harry.
He has only known a family who is lost to the material side of things and only care about their money and what they can give to their son. The Dursleys never showed Harry the value of family and, in the overall series, that’s what the Weasleys did best. They gave us a look into the beautiful family they created and how, despite how the rest of the wizarding world may view them, they are the family that knows what to do to love each other.
Sure, they have an even greater significance when you start to look at their placement in the wizarding world as a whole but it is more important that they taught Harry what it means to love your family and be together over general status in this world.
