10 YA book releases to stay warm and cozy with this November
Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater
November is a promising month for fans of Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Cycle. Even though the series ended with The Raven King back in 2016, Stiefvater is diving back into the world to deliver readers a story focused on a fan-favorite character: Ronan Lynch.
Call Down the Hawk is just the first part of Ronan’s new story, and it explores what became of the character following the events of the initial series. But just because Ronan has moved forward doesn’t mean that he’s completely safe and in the clear. Being a dreamer brings a whole host of dangers with it — and Ronan is about to learn that firsthand.
Ronan’s dreaming is also going to find him tied up with a thief and a hunter. With their paths all crossing, anything can happen — though the synopsis promises destruction to come, so we can probably assume the group will have to find a way to stop it.
Call Down the Hawk came out on November 5, and it’s a spin-off story that will appeal to anyone looking to reimmerse themselves in Stiefvater’s mystical world. And let’s be honest for a moment: Why wouldn’t we want another excuse to visit?
