10 YA book releases to stay warm and cozy with this November
Supernova by Marissa Meyer
November seems to be a popular month for ending series, as Marissa Meyer is also concluding her Renegades trilogy. Supernova arrived on November 5, and it promises a thrilling ending to the story Meyer has crafted. With a tagline like “All’s fair in love and anarchy,” how could it not?
Set in a world where humans have superpowers, Meyer’s trilogy follows Nova and Adrian, two teens with extraordinary abilities who are on opposing sides of their superhuman society. Nova vows vengeance against the Renegades, the group of superhumans formed to keep the peace — a group that Nova has every reason to despise. Adrian, on the other hand, is part of the Renegades.
Through a series of events, Nova’s path winds up intertwined with Adrian’s — for better or for worse. Not only do their paths meet, but their alter egos find themselves pitted against one another. As you can imagine, the story fulfills all the hate-to-love and secret-identity tropes readers love in a good romance.
And if Supernova is anything like Winter, the conclusion to Meyer’s The Lunar Chronicles, readers are in for a wild ride. Meyer knows how to tie up a story, and anyone who has grown to love these characters will probably be on the edge of their seats while waiting to see how their journeys end.
