The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black

Holly Black’s The Folk of the Air trilogy is also coming to a close this month, with The Queen of Nothing hitting shelves on November 19. After the cliffhanger of a twist that The Wicked King left off on, this novel is the most highly anticipated release of the month for many readers — and knowing Black, it’s likely to be just as full of surprises as the previous two installments in the series.

With Cardan on the throne and Jude exiled to the human world, the stakes are high going into The Queen of Nothing. Jude has vowed to return to Faerie, and it’s likely she’ll seek revenge against all of those who have wronged her. Cardan’s at the top of that list, but her sister Taryn and adoptive father Murdock haven’t been much better.

Unfortunately, Taryn will also become the opportunity Jude needs to reclaim what she’s lost. When Taryn’s mortal life is in danger, Jude returns for Elfhame and its bloody, deceptive court. And things have only gotten worse since she left…

The Queen of Nothing ties up all of the storylines Black has presented thus far, all while promising new obstacles for Jude to overcome. The finale is sure to be packed with political intrigue, action, and romance — and what more could fans of this series really ask for?
