Fantastic Beasts star Colin Farrell in talks to join Matt Reeves’ The Batman
It seems as if Colin Farrell may lead the fishy charge as the Penguin in Matt Reeves’ The Batman and honestly, let Farrell take over the world.
Rumors are circulating that Colin Farrell could be taking on the iconic role of the Penguin in Matt Reeves’ The Batman and it is exciting to see Farrell take on another iconic series. Before the world of Harry Potter, Colin Farrell also brought Bullseye to life in Ben Affleck’s Daredevil movie and the actor seems to dabble in the idea of a franchise.
With The Batman, he might only be in the one off movie but it is still a big undertaking because fans of Batman and Bruce Wayne idolize these heroes and villains. Joining a cast of Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne, and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, the movie is definitely going to give a new vibe to Gotham that we haven’t seen before.
Colin Farrell is still in talks so it isn’t confirmed whether or not he’s actually going to be the Penguin but it would be fun to see him take on the role that Danny DeVito brought to life in the 90s. To be fair, I don’t really think they’ll make him dress up like DeVito did in the movie but if they gave him a big stomach and a weird nose, I’d also still love this casting choice.
It’s going to be interesting to see what The Batman has in store for us and honestly, hopefully Colin Farrell does officially join the cast because it’d be fun!
