The terror that Professor Umbridge continues to bring to us all even after all these years

After all these years, we still have a fear that overtakes us when it comes to Professor Umbridge. Why is she so terrifying to any and all Harry Potter fans?

Dolores Umbridge not only terrified the student of Hogwarts but many fans also feared everything she stood for. For years, we would think about the professor who made Harry Potter use his own blood as punishment and we would fear what she could do, what lengths she would go to in her evil ways.

Still, that fear lingers. Even now, years later, we’re still afraid of what could happen and what she would do if she was still in charge of Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child even brought a world of Dolores Umbridge back to us in a way that made her more terrifying than Voldemort could ever be.

Maybe it is the way she demands a room without having any kind of power or maybe it is just her pure evil nature that tears into all of us but there is something about Umbridge that is always going to frighten us. Is it that she does not care about who she hurts? Or is it because we all had that teacher who instilled that kind of fear in us while growing up?

Whatever it is, Umbridge remains one of the most terrifying villains of all time. And the fact that she was able to torture students and almost get away with it is too much to comprehend, even now, years later, after the series has come to an end.
