We went back to Hogwarts with Darren Criss and the Starkids at Elsie Fest!
For fans of Darren Criss and Starkid, we were treated this weekend with a reunion of our favorite friends as they took to Elsie Fest and brought the classics with them!
Darren Criss has been bringing Elsie Fest to life for some time now and this time, he brought some old friends to help him get the crowd excited. Those friends? His crew from Hogwarts, of course! The Starkids came out to sing with Darren Criss and reminded many of us what it means to be a fan of those musicals in the first place.
Bringing together nerds everywhere, Darren Criss and his friends at Starkid brought to life the story of Harry Potter in a new way that made us fall in love with the story all over again. Merging the stories throughout the three musicals, it was never in a linear way and always managed to keep us intrigued even though it was all a story we knew and loved well. We managed to fall in love over and over again and in new ways.
While Elsie Fest has had the Starkids before, this was a beautiful reunion of our favorites and, luckily for us all, the show ended with them singing “Goin’ Back To Hogwarts” on stage and reminding us all why now, ten years later, we’re still talking about these musicals.
It’d be nice to see Darren Criss return to the Starkid family and maybe even reprise his role again but, until then, we can experience the magic at Elsie Fest time and time again.
