The Good Place has plenty to accomplish in these first few episodes. How will our four new test subjects handle the afterlife?

The Good Place did a lot of rebuilding and plot setup in last week’s episode. Which is fine! Everything is fine! It’s been so long since we’ve seen these characters, we needed a bit of a refresher.

And a reminder that nothing is ever as it seems.

In case you missed it, the official synopsis for this week’s episode, “A Girl From Arizona Part 2:”

"“Eleanor, Michael, Janet and Tahani have their hands full when the new residents begin to show their true colors. Jason receives some unsettling news.”"

How many other things can go wrong? Well, anything and everything. Janet’s working overtime to keep things running, and it’s only a matter of time before sinkholes start all over again. But maybe Eleanor and Michael can use that to their advantage and try to get our four test subjects to understand that maybe they don’t belong there.

My big question is: How long until they convince Simone that she’s not laying somewhere in a coma with a decaying brain? They need her to work with Chidi to become better people and help reform our other two test subjects.

Meanwhile, everyone else needs to keep playing the part. Which probably won’t happen if Janet breaks up with Jason and Derek tries to Derek his way into Derek. …Maximum Derek?

And what will it take to make Eleanor crack? Seeing Simone and Chidi all buddy-buddy? Or will she be able to rise above it?
