The villains of AHS: 1984 are ready, willing, and able to continue terrorizing the seasonal citizens of Camp Redwood. Here’s what to look forward to in episode 3!

Last week, we left our campers on AHS: 1984 in a bad way. Half of them were trapped in one cabin as Mr. Jingles, convicted serial murderer and recently escaped mental patient, attempted to force his way inside. A few cabins away, the rest of our group was being similarly terrorized by relative newcomer to the murdering game, Richard Ramirez AKA The Night Stalker.

The counselors, who, so far, have no children to even counsel, have quickly spiraled from eager and excited teenagers to desperate and traumatized potential victims over the course of just one full day, and things are looking like they’re going to get better anytime soon. At least not in episode 3.

The upcoming third installment, titled “Slashdance,” promises to pick up right where the previous episode left off, which ramps up both the intrigue and the terror right out of the gate. For the audience, that is. And even though we’re pretty sure what we’re jumping back into— a night of continued, active pursuit and likely just as many personal and emotional revelations as one might find in an afternoon soap opera— the episode’s synopsis surely doesn’t want to give us the satisfaction of being able to predict anything.

"Imitation is the best form of tragedy. Coming clean can be pretty messy."

Will Mr. Jingles finally claim Margaret Booth as a victim? Will Margaret strike back, like she’s promised to? Is The Night Stalker just a copycat, or is his reign of terror as true and heinous as his real-life counterpart’s? What will the counselors do now that their friends are starting to be picked off? Will Trevor the Activities Director ever prove useful? And, honestly, will the campers ever come??? We’ll all have to watch together, huddled around the proverbial campfires of our smart devices, to truly find out.
