The Good Place season 4 episode 2 preview: Everything is spiraling
The Good Place looks to keep things moving forward with its second episode. What other trouble can our four new test subjects get into?
We all know The Good Place is just getting started. We’ve only been shown one curve in the road map so far — which means there are plenty of hairpin turns coming sooner rather than later.
Here is the official synopsis for this week’s episode, “A Girl from Arizona Part 2,” courtesy of NBC:
"“Eleanor, Michael, Janet and Tahani have their hands full when the new residents begin to show their true colors. Jason receives some unsettling news.”"
I’m going to take a safe guess and say the “unsettling news” Jason gets is that he and Janet are no longer boyfriend/not-a-girlfriend. And that’s just going to escalate things between him and Derek.
That probably means that bad things are about to happen in the Neighborhood that aren’t a result of the Bad Place interfering. No, Derek only has one brain cell, as fancy as he may look, and he may just got Maximum Derek to try to rebound with Janet and… ruin everything.
And that’s not even the team’s biggest worry! This will sideline Jason — and probably Janet — and Eleanor and Michael will just have to ignore it.
With a title like “A Girl From Arizona,” it hasn’t focused much around Eleanor, aside from her pain around Chidi and Simone. What else can happen? Well, first of all, does she get to be a human from Arizona? Or does she have to pretend to be an angel/bureaucrat from the Good Place?
There’s so much we still don’t know about this last experiment and so many things that can go wrong. We can only hope the Soul Squad can rebound well enough to make it all worth it.
