When it comes to facing our mental health, Emma Thompson has some advice for us all that is actually pretty good: Avoid things that make you feel anxious or worrisome.

Emma Thompson has always been someone to look up to. Whether it is through the characters she brings to life or through her actual life, Emma is someone that we can all look to and wish we could embody. Never forget when she took her shoes off at an awards show because she wanted to be comfortable!

But now, Emma Thompson is opening up about her approach to mental health and it is a beautiful lesson to learn. Whether it is for our own benefit or to make sure we don’t fall into old habits, we should always try and work on our own mental health to make sure that we’re at the top of our game.

Talking with the Sunday Times, Thompson opened up about how she avoids falling into traps with her own mental health. Her full advice was simple: “Avoid drama about what is wrong with the world … and anything likely to make you feel anxious or that you are not doing enough.”

To be fair, that’s wonderful advice. Mainly because more often than not, we end up taking on the weight of the world and trying to fix everything when that shouldn’t be solely on any one person. So, if the world gets too much and you sometimes want to just have a day to yourself, do that and focus on what is best for you and your own health.
