A permanent Harry Potter exhibit is possibly coming to New York City!
Want to explore the magic of Harry Potter in a new and fun way? Well, a permanent exhibit for the series might be taking home in New York City soon and we can’t wait!
Update (Sept. 27): Following our initial report, a spokesperson for Warner Bros. relayed the following statement addressing the exhibit rumors:
"“Warner Bros. Entertainment has leased 935 Broadway, in New York’s Flatiron District,” a Warner Bros. Spokesperson said in a shared statement. “The company will be releasing further details of its plans for a retail experience at a later date.”"
According to Mugglenet, Harry Potter could be finding his home in New York City. A new exhibit, much like the permanent home in England, might be heading to the Big Apple to bring the world of Potter to life for fans to explore.
This isn’t the first time the series has found a home in New York City. With Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opening on Broadway and for the past exhibit that included costumes from the series and information about how the movies were made, there hasn’t been a lack of Potter in New York.
But now, with this permanent exhibit, we can maybe see more of its kind out in the world. While big cities often end up with Potter related adventures, smaller cities don’t get much in regards to the Boy Who Lived.
So, while this is exciting, maybe we can hope this ushers in a new way for fans of the series to experience the magic in other cities. Or, at least, hopefully this exhibit is very much how the one in London is so fans can see some of their favorite characters’ costumes in the flesh! Will this be based on the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series? Maybe! It’d be fun and fit with the film franchise but we’ll have to wait and see.
