What does the rebranding of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child mean for the show?
Good things come for those who wait and now Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is turning a bit to the Potter film verse for their new branding for the Broadway show!
It has been rumored that Warner Brothers is planning on buying the rights for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (or has already done so) and with that comes the knowledge that the play can finally have the same logo and designs as the films. For merchandise, the iconic logos can now be sold in the story and we can all experience the magic with the same feel we knew growing up.
J.K. Rowling took to Twitter to share this logo the other day:
Now, what’s interesting is that that is the Death Eaters logo from the show. So does that mean that they are keeping the original logos or is everything changing to be a mix of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child branding and the movies?
To be honest, either one works because it would be fun to see new merchandise going into the store. Who wouldn’t want a new Gryffindor shirt? Then again, maybe we’ll get to hear “Hedwig’s Theme” when we go to the show and experience that same joy we did when we went to the movies as kids!
It is going to be interesting to see what happens with the show but, at the end of the day, just seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a wonderfully fun experience.
