By Callum Gunn
Calling all Harry Potter fans. If you’ve ever wanted to stay in Hagrid’s Hut, you’ve got a chance. And you can do it for just £1 with this exciting competition.
There are certain parts of the world of Harry Potter that we’d love to be a part of. Parts of the world we’d love to stay in overnight and events we’d love to take part in. Well, for those who have ever wanted to stay in Hagrid’s Hut now there’s a chance, and with this exciting competition, you can do so for just £1 (that’s about $1.23 with the current exchange rate).
The £1 grans you entry to the Harry Potter competition. Over Christmas (Dec. 22-29), you’ll be able to head to North York Moors National Park to the replica of Hagrid’s Hut and stay for a week. This is a hut that normally costs £1,400 (about $1,700) per week to stay in. The stay is just part of a £5,000 grand prize, with the competition fees raising money for Lumos, J.K. Rowling’s charity to help disadvantaged orphanage children.

Hagrid’s Hut has been developed just like the one within the movies. That means the rustic interior, turreted roof, and the stained glass windows. However, don’t worry about discomfort. There is a copper roll-top bath, an open fireplace, and some comfy sofas to make your stay feel luxurious.
