Elizabeth Warren is channeling a certain badass professor in the magical world of Harry Potter during her presidential run. She’s ready for Death Eaters.

Elizabeth Warren is running for president in Harry Potter style. She’s not afraid to take on the Death Eaters, and doesn’t mind if supporters view her as a certain Hogwarts professor.

It’s all about Minerva McGonagall. During a recent campaign push, writer and comedian Gabe Bergardo made a reference to Warren’s energy being very much like McGonagall’s energy at Hogwarts. The two are firm but fair, supportive of the public/students and ready to take on the Dementors and Death Eaters (and whatever you would think the real world counterparts are) with a flick of the wand.

More from Harry Potter

Don’t think that Warren is annoyed by this. She’s clearly a fan of J.K. Rowling’s world, even tweeting in 2016 that she’d be the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor if necessary. Comparing Warren to McGonagall is a complement to Warren.

Naturally, the supporters who are also Potterheads quickly took to Twitter to share their support. After all, who didn’t love McGonagall stepping up to protect Hogwarts when the Death Eaters came to take down the school and Harry Potter?

Many other Potterheads started to name who they believe would make up the characters of Harry Potter out of the presidential candidates and people currently in power or in a high level of authority. It’s an interesting look, as long as you’re willing not to take things too seriously.
