The Sims 4 takes more inspiration from Harry Potter
By Callum Gunn
The world of Sims 4 is expanding. Harry Potter fans are going to love it, as the game takes more inspiration from the magical world.
In case you don’t get enough magic in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite or Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, there’s another game you’ll want to turn it. It’s none-other than Sims 4, which is bringing the magical world straight to you. Well, sort of.
It’s not exactly the Wizarding World due to copyright and licensing and all that, but it has clearly been inspired by the magical world. This isn’t the first time The Sims has delved into the magical world. Those who have had previous versions will remember the magic packs. However, Sims 4 is taking it a step further.

You’ll want the Realm of Magic pack, which is an expansion to the normal game. Once installed, you’ll have access to the various elements to this new magical world. You can head to magic school, learn spells and potions, and even duel other students to improve your magic, according to Unilad.
Sadly, there will be no spells to make your Sim actually walk around items in the way instead of complaining at you that they’re in the way. Honestly, why can’t they just step over the post they randomly leave on the floor?

There’s also new clothing as part of the pack. You’ll be able to dress up in robes, wizarding hats, and so much more. Yes, those who have had the magic packs in previous versions will feel like it’s the same at first, but there’s far more Harry Potter inspiration than ever before. As well as learning spells, you’ll face off against vampires, werewolves, and even skeletons.
So, when can you get your hands on the expansion pack? This is going to depend on the version of the game you have. If you play on the PC, you’ll get it on Sept. 10. Those who play on a console will get it on Oct. 15. It’s not quite in time for Back to Hogwarts Day, but at least it’s coming!
