Is Johnny Depp in Fantastic Beasts 3?

It won’t be long until production gets underway or Fantastic Beasts 3. Will we see Johnny Depp return as the evil dark wizard Grindelwald?
When it comes to Fantastic Beasts 3 there is one thing we can say for sure. Grindelwald will be back. The Harry Potter prequel will finish with the fall of Grindelwald so we know he will be back for at least the next movie, most likely the remaining three that we know we are getting. What can’t be said for sure, is if Johnny Depp will be returning or whether someone else will be stepping up to play the evil dark wizard.
Now, if you have not been keeping up with the celebrity news, you are probably scratching your head wondering why this question is even being asked.

Well, without going fully into the details, because we would be here all day if we did go into all the details, events occurring in Johnny Depp’s personal life are casting doubt on whether Warner Bros. will replace him with another actor.

As far as we are aware, no recasting has happened. It’s something we talked about a little while ago when we discussed whether you would support the movie if he is recast.
That being said, Warner Bros. has not made any official announcements on whether he has been cast as well. There was a rumor back in July that casting had started, and Johnny Depp had been giving the seal of approval, but again, no official announcements from Warner Bros has been made.
So, as things stand, Johnny Depp has neither been confirmed or denied for Fantastic Beasts 3. We suspect he will be back, but until the official announcement is made, we are not saying he is definitely returning.
