London-based Natalie Shay has a new single inspired by ’80s indie pop, but it’s the message that has sold us on ‘People Like Me.’

When it comes to must-listen music, there is something special about the musicians coming out of the UK. And thanks to Natalie Shay, we have a new single that is just as much about the message it delivers as it is the sound.

With “People Like Me,” Shay gives us a fresh take on classic ’80s indie pop, but with a twist that includes lyrics that touch on how social media can alter our perceptions of reality. In fact, one could almost say that platforms like Facebook and Instagram offer a rose-colored look at the world around us.

Listening to “People Like Me” offers a chance to hear an upbeat, catchy pop song with a truly indie vibe. And the fact that the lyrics seem to really have a message to them makes this song a perfect end of summer jam.

Although Natalie Shay is relatively new to the music scene, she is already considered one of the hottest talents to be emerging at this time. And much of that praise stems from the fact that she is already a multi-award winner for her music.

As someone who is classically trained on the guitar, it makes sense that she would incorporate her skills into her music as well, which makes her a double threat in terms of talent and ability to make music that we want to listen to. Clearly, with her latest single “People Like Me,” she is giving the world a song they will want to play on repeat.

If you love indie pop music, then you won’t want to miss Shay, as she is definitely an artist to watch out for. In fact, I would have to say that the singer is ready to make the rest of 2019 her own, with the help of this new song, and of course some of her past works, such as “This Feeling.”
