Fandom and Harry Potter: The joy of meeting the cast of the Harry Potter films
Convention life isn’t for everyone but there is a joy to getting to meet some of your favorite actors, especially those who brought Harry Potter to life for us all.
Sometimes it can be daunting to meet your favorite actors but, with the cast of Harry Potter, they seem to still be excited to meet everyone who grew up reading the books and watching the movies. They even still do conventions together!
If you’re lucky enough to go to Keystone Comic Con in Philadelphia, you can meet Bonnie Wright and the Phelps twins! All at once! That’s just one smaller convention too. There are conventions all over the United States and many of them feature the cast of Potter.
So why is this cool? Because, for many of us, we grew up watching them as their characters. Getting to meet those actors who brought Ron, Harry, Hermione, and so many more to life is inspiring to us and reminds us of the joy that this series brings to everyone. Then again, who wouldn’t want to go see an actor you love in person?
It’s really nice to go to a convention and get to talk to some of your faves and hopefully, if you’re a fan of the Potter series and someone in particular, you can to go and experience the magic of meeting them first hand! I will say, I met Daniel Radcliffe when I was in college and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life!
